Sarah Mosquera
Sarah Mosquera is a Chilean – American photographer based in the West.
Sarah regularly documents the work of non-profits and scientists who are protecting species and habitats across the Northern Great Plains. She’s especially drawn to stories about black-footed ferrets, swift foxes, bison, and prairie dogs—often overlooked species that play a vital role in the prairie ecosystem. Her work primarily focuses on Indigenous–led conservation efforts across the Northern Great Plains. She has cultivated relationships with tribal organizations across Montana, and since 2021 has worked with tribes on Fort Belknap to document their work protecting the Northern Great Plains.
She has done photography for NPR, The Guardian, Montana Free Press, Undark, and High Country News.
