Missoula Children’s Theatre

The Missoula Children’s Theater has 22,000 square feet of rentable space available for use throughout the year. From conferences to fundraisers to weddings and movie premieres, MCT’s staff looks forward to working with you to make your event a success. There are eight spaces to choose from to accommodate your event; the theatre and it’s stage, the lobby, a meeting room, a conference room, community room, and three classrooms to which 2 have mirrors for dancing.

MCT’s theatre has a seating capacity of 304 (296 chairs and 8 wheelchair accessible seats). The front row (Row C) in the Orchestra section sits at the foot of our proscenium stage with each row slightly elevated moving toward the back of the theatre for optimal sight-lines. Their Balcony section looks down over the Main Floor section, and the Left and Right sections are separated from the Main Floor by a two-lane aisle with handrails. It has a state-of-the-art lightning and sound systems as well as dressing, make-up, and shower areas accessible upon availability for performers.

The lobby is a spacious and dramatic two-story lobby and reception are and it is a great space for weddings, receptions, or other events. MCT provides table and chair set-up as well as a spacious concessions area complete with a catering kitchen. Through the second floor is the meeting room most commonly used for after-school classes and social opportunities. It is ADA-accessible with table and chair set-up, and there is an outdoor terrace with a view of Missoula’s nearby mountains.

On the second floor on the opposite side, you will find the conference room. The room is 32′ x 20′ and has an occupancy of 20. On the third floor will be the community room and classrooms. The community room is of similar dimensions to the stage and is often used a rehearsal space. It will not be available during performance evenings as it is right above the stage and may cause a disruption should people be in said room. There are 4 classrooms, 2 could be used as 1 room but can easily part with a recently installed divider. Any more information needed can be provided in this Building Rental Guide.

MCT is pleased to offer discounted rates to non-profit organizations, starting at 20% of the standard rental rate and going as high as 50%. To qualify for this rate, please provide proof of status (ie 501(c)x determination letter). Availability for any of our spaces is determined by MCT’s internal schedule.
